I'm a mechanical engineering/material science student and I developed simulations and the design software for humidity-powered soft robots. Since I've little experience with coding and github, I coded the simulation with python and converted it to a .exe file. However, the resulting file got very big (around 3 GB) and I didn't know how to upload it to Github and democratize it. By uploading it to Google Drive and linking it to a .bat file, I figured out an easy way to still make it available on Github (without much work). I'm sure there are 1000 things I could have improved throughout my whole workflow, I would be delighted to hear your suggestions! Check out my releases to try out my latest version of the software. There is also a yt video with a demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1l-qcVvmkQ
Can you explain the purpose of hard coding google drive link in the .bat file?
