That does look really cool and fun. But as was just pointed out to me, if you
set up
your controllers right, you could do something similar with the current RB
Co-op.

To document this issue a bit better after having watched the video (currently
the
only detail here):
This is a huge issue in order to implement things as they are on the PSP, but I
agree
it should be an available gameplay mode. I can't see how one would play this
way
effectively while wielding any of the real instruments; however, if a gameplay
mode
with all tapping (no strums required anywhere) were to be created (this is
already an
issue somewhere) - this would be entirely doable.
For those who have never played the two original games FREQUENCY and Amplitude
(way
to forget the original, Gamespot) - there is only one player handling the
entire band
of instruments. The player does not have to strum, only press 4 buttons to hit
the 4
available notes. There is a button to switch to the next instrument, and there
is a
button to switch to the previous instrument.
If notes go by on any instrument, that instrument's life decreases. No matter
if
you're currently playing that instrument or not.
The suggested Band Survival mode would show all notes for all instruments and
see how
long the player can keep all the instruments "alive." I would imagine this
might
involve several songs consecutively if the player passes the first song, not
sure.

we could use the whammy bar to change instruments
but if you did that i think you would need to get my issue sorted out too
