SM64: Missing Stars unable to save #294

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Going to main menu
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When going to Menu, there should be a save game file created. Instead, msg says 
Failed to Save

What version of the product are you using? On which system and loader?
Wii64 Beta 1.1 For Wii.

Please provide any additional information below.
Super Mario 64: The Missing Stars is a extended ROM that is a Hack of the 
Origional ROM to add more levels. Size is 24MB. Rom Name is M64: The Missing 
Stars. Save Game does not work neither does Save State.

I did a little experimenting with the rom. I after you apply the patch to it it 
has a .ext.z64 extention to it. I removed the .ext part but it still wont save 
anything. That is if you make the Native Saves Device the SD card. But if you 
have a GC Memory card it saves the games fine. Still cant Save State though.

Hello, I am the creator of the Missing Stars hack. Nothing has been changed in 
the save routines, nor does the game uses a different EEPROM size. Seems to 
work fine on other emulators.

In order to save on WII64, you have to open up the rom in a hex editor (Hex 
Workshop works well). In the top right box, you will see "M64: 
TheMissingStars". Replace the : with something like _. The save doesn't like 
the colon. Then just save.

It works better if you overwrite "M64:" with "SM64" instead of 
inserting/deleting anything (no errors when loaded in Wii64).
