It's hardly a solution, but I'd like to point out that modern advancements in
Wii homebrew have made WBFS partitions a mostly unnecessary burden. These days,
USB loaders support FAT32 partitions, which work great across the board for
Wii. The only issue is a 4GB file size limit, but that can be overcome, even
for games like SSBB, with any intelligent ISO dumper. It might not work in your
situation, but I would suggest moving your games off of your WBFS partition,
expanding your FAT32 partition, and putting them back onto that enlarged
section.
