Atari was my first video game console, like all of our firsts, except that first time someone suggested I try chewing tobacco, Atari still holds a special place in my memories. It was the start of the home video game revolution and if you are over 50, chances are you knew someone with or had an Atari 2600/VCS yourself. The history of Atari is interesting, sorted and sometimes sad as it was the first all of the "pitfalls" were not good. Atari also had what is considered the worst video game title ever, which created an urban legend and gave the game more fame! I am being coy about the games I talk about but not combat-ive to give some clues for Atari nostalgists like myself. One thing, if you had an Atari and can get your hands on the new versions with a large number of games on them, go out and beat your kids one afternoon and relive your childhood a bit!
