Can't add another account after upgrading to 3.9.17 #545

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. click on Settings, Add Account, start typing in the name (it's awfully
slow), after I type in the fourth letter, the program quits

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect I could enter the data, without any delays or the program quitting

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3.19.15 i guess.

Please provide any additional information below.
oh, it's on an ipod touch 3G (i guess), and without headphones (without a mic)
- just wanted to know if it'd succeed with the new provider.

OOPS Just tried to edit an existing account - I can't even open that tab - it
just quits. Though, it seems to be dialing okay..

I just opened Issue 546, which appears to be a duplicate of this one. I have
same exact behavior on iPhone 3GS 4.3.3

See comments in Issue 546 (should I move them to here?)

Did you enable background feature?
It seems iOS/cydia doesn't manage correctly the update of application running
in the bg.
You should kill it before the updating.

Sorry for delayed response. I am still having same problem. YES, I have
enabled the backgrounding feature. And YES, I have uninstalled and
re-installed multiple times, making sure to kill Siphon process beforehand.
Would it be of help to submit a detailed log file?
