Local IP address not connecting #8

Hello there, I am having an issue with my 3DS not being able to connect to the internet with my local IP set as the DNS address. I was able to connect using the KaeruWFC ip of 178.62.43.212, but as soon as I change my DNS to my local IP I can't connect anymore although the text in the software is showing that my 3DS is attempting to connect and that the request is valid. I checked IPconfig to make sure I had the correct IP, and the DS tells me that the problem is either with the DNS or the Proxy Server being entered incorrectly. I have also tried it on multiple computers, however they were all on the same network.
I went into my gateway settings and created rules for ports 53 and 80 to allow connections, I seem to have tried everything I could find information on online. I have followed all instructions posted as well as following a YT video where the creator of the vid was able to get his to work no problem.

I would very much like to get this software to work and have spent a good amount of time troublehsooting already, any bit of information or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I should add that I am just trying to get this to work over LAN

Could you enable 'Log to File' and 'Extra GTS Jargon' on the Extra Options? Then press Save Settings under DNS Settings.

After that, try running through the process again. Then exit the program and attach the files labeled gts_log.txt and dns_log.txt.

Also let me know what your current settings are (Distributing/Receiving and Generation).

Hey thanks so much for the quick reply!
I will try it again enabling the settings you recommended. The current setting I have are as follows: I want to Distribute on (Tried both B&W and All of Them and the game I'm using is Black 2) Distributing Mode: Individual (I store the .pkm files in their own desktop folder rather than individually if that matters) Adding the.pkm file to the Gen V tab

Was this problem ever solved? I am having the same issue and was just wondering if it was ever resolved.

Very late, but I wasn't able to make much sense as to why the DS only detected Port 53 (The DNS) and not Port 80 (The GTS) on those logs. Two things I thought of that might help in diagnosing it more: 1) Try running as Admin. Normally, when you launch Shiny 2 and a half the first time, it's supposed to prompt you to allow the proper port connections, but sometime this fails. I believe running as Admin opens all port usage anyways, so this would get around that if your Windows didn't prompt for whatever reason. 2) Try connecting to the IP you put as Local IP as a website using a different computer on the same network. If you get a page like the image attached, you should be able to connect with the DS as well, assuming nothing is blocking it directly. websitesuccess

Hi sorry I just saw you replied, so thank you. I tried running as admin and it still did not work. i used to be able to get at least one verified connection message but now I don't get any. I tried to connect to the address with another computer and I did end up getting that page so now I am at a loss of what to do. I am attempting to distribute to White 2, I am not sure if that is what is messing this up?

And I would try this with Pearl but I don't have WEP, nor do I want to change internet settings. Another thing that just happened is I now get an error when I try to turn on the Extra Jargon and Log. If you have any ideas I would appreciate the help.

Hi! I'm having the same problems listed here, where I can't connect to the Internet with my Local IP. I am able to get the website up, so I'm not sure what to do. I'm trying to distribute to White, if that helps any.
