another hack at getting the engine to build on newer iOS versions works with xcode 9.2

Again, pull requests should be for the development branch. Please remake this request or better yet, make a single pull request with all three pull requests in it.

sorry first time doing a pull request lol the change was really only supposed to be the two files and not the 78 files changed its showing in the other pull request have no idea how the hell i did that but if u merged this one or mad the same changes as in this one it would be all 3 completed, It was a really hack way of getting around the system function though a better method may need to be taken

Your third pull request was good. Takes a few tries sometimes to get it right. Just remake them again for the dev branch and I'll merge them.
