I would like to suggest an enhancement for the tab navigation in LinkMap. The current implementation requires users to double click on a tab to select it, and also there is no built-in functionality for quickly closing tabs.
Proposed Enhancement
It would be great if the tab navigation could support the following interactions:
Single Click: Select the tab.
Double Click: Close the currently selected tab.
This feature would provide a more intuitive user experience, similar to how many modern web browsers handle tab management.
Benefits
User Efficiency: Users can manage tabs faster without needing to find a close button.
Consistency: Aligns with common browser tab behavior, making the interface more familiar to users.
Accessibility: Could potentially improve accessibility by reducing the number of mouse movements required for common tasks.
Implementation Suggestions
Consider using standard web event listeners to detect single and double clicks.
Ensure that the double-click action is not too sensitive to avoid accidental tab closures.
Provide visual feedback (e.g., a tooltip or animation) when a tab is about to be closed to make the action clear to the user.
