Btw pls elaborate what feels too strong or too weak, (fire rate, damage, cost etc.) This thing is just a side project to keep me busy in quarantine.(I enjoy it but I don't put all my time here). I think the units are kinda good from my playtests so if ya'll got any concerns elaborate as much as possible so I can understand where ya'll coming from.

My concern is the use of sniper units as wave enemies, especially Sagittarius. I think the most egregious example is Lonely Islands, where they can lurk behind the no-build zone and take pot-shots at my defenses.

That was kind of the point of sagittarius though, slow ships that slowly chip away at defences from a far if you're not looking. The main solutions are building cheap walls or conveyors in front as a cushion or sending out small fast units to make them shoot at a different direction. I've played lonely islands and the challenge they create is what I was going for.

Although I might decrease the range restrictions. Currently it's on 400 blocks

I think that'd be good. I think the big deal is more "I physically cannot target these units with most options", not that they're too hard. Reducing the spawn restriction I feel would mean my own units would be able to move in to engage.

So... I did a bit of maths: the DPS of a Flamestorm is 2508 if it is being boosted with cryofluid and the ammo is Pyratite, not considering the fact that the ammo is incendiary. The problem with that? The DPS of a Spectre that is using thorium as ammo and is being boosted with cryofluid is 2470. It also can only deal damage to one target at once, while almost half of the damage of the Flamestorm is its AoE. The Spectre also costs way more resources, if 7 tiles bigger and has only 80 more hp. The Spectre also has a smaller range (by 1.25 tiles).

Have you checked the dps of a cyclone? So far I've toned down the hp to 1400, and made it single target (no splash radius) Shots per sec is at 50 now. It should match slightly higher than a cyclone
