Dealing with households to enter 2+ tax units:

From Caleb: If you have one parent, then that parent is a tax unit. If you have two parents, you don't know if they file joint or not So there could be 2 or 3 tax units in a household. . . (1 or 2 additional)

If we have this worked out, then we might just be able to have everything on the main results page without the secondary link -- because we can send multiple tax units to PolicyEngine.

example: For RTD Live, we would still have a message at the top of results, this time just noting,

It looks like you have more than one tax unit in your household. You may need to submit multiple applications in order to cover each eligible individual.

Tax Credits:

It looks like you have more than one tax unit in your household. You will need to file taxes for each tax unit in order for each eligible household to receive the tax credit.

Right now, our assumption for the main tax unit, includes head of household, spouse/domestic partner + any dependents in the household who are under 19, or student under 24, or have a disability. In the case of the dependent, if their income is less than half the total of HH income.

Other household members who fall outside of that. We are going to put into a single tax unit.
