Possible to make this section much smaller?

Home Page Mar15 - bottom section - make smaller

The content is useful - but distracting/overbearing at its current size(in relations to the blue box filters at this level, just think some of it may work better elsewhere in the site plan - that said - confused on what the "comments tab" intentions are.

Thoughts: 1) Recently added (by date) - info is achieved by sorting by date in the catalog - HOW valuable is this info on the front page and the real estate it takes up is a lot - wonder what the business reason would be for it to have front page focus - 2) Most popular (AI driven?) (put that into the filter area of catalog? Top 10 most popular products....) again - interesting - but maybe this is "dashboard material"? 3) Comments - if this is for receiving comments from teh masses - then this is a big discussion item before implementing. WIll need to look at communications nova scotia viewpoint, IM etc. This feature (is a good one) but Implies moderators are available to monitor and address input from the masses - this will need resources and a strategy. meanwhile we can accept feedback on individual products via the product contact. and or via geoinfo@novascotia.ca

I'm fine with removing this section but wanted to document this in case we come back to this topic later.

Do we need another view? is catalog home page the home page of geonova.ca? OR is the catalog home page an offering (one of many) available on geonova.ca....oh the questions! how to place the catalog in context with the other offerings. Look at australia again and geoplatform - one has little on front page and one has a lot. they both have other "entry pages" that showcase different aspects of the overall "mapping and data platform". hmmm on the fence now.

@LauraBeazley can you add your comments about the home page bottom tabs to issue #1 instead? (this is a duplicate ticket here, so I am closing this one)
