Mission Planner - Flight Data - Flight Mode does not update #450

Arducoper ACM

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect your APM to the PC
2. Press Connect
3. Go to the Flight Data screen
4. Change your flight mode using the switch on your Transmitter

What is the expected output?
I expect the Flight Mode text on the HUD of the Flight Data screen to change to 
the correct flight mode

What do you see instead?
It always stays at the Flight Mode that I started in.

What version of the product are you using?
APM2
ArduCopter Firmware 2.6
Mussion Planner 1.1.98 mav 1.0

On what operating system?
Windows XP

Please provide any additional information below.
I have seen this for the last 3 Mission Planner versions that I have used.

You need to have 3D GPS lock to show RTL, Loiter ,Auto etc. modes in HUD. I 
don't know why, maybe that's for safety reasons or because of new Mavlink 1.0 
structure...

I believe that the statement about needing a GPS Lock is correct. feel free to 
close this issue.
