Tested on:

Mac using Arc browser, on a youtube video.
When I remove my AirPods pro (gen2) it doesn't pause the video.
When I press on the button it doesn't pause the video but mute the microphone.
When I check on my input devices it sais that the AirPods mic is the one selected.

EDIT:

I guess selecting which are AirPods is the expected Usage right?

Over time this did not happen so I'm closing this.
