Told you I won't get my hands on Gavern 1.7 untill release but ... Untill now it's awesome and noticed a small bug related to post formats and I should point it here. When I want to have a featured video instead of featured image that video appears in all post formats minus video post format. Ah and you should state in a small note, template or maybe the documentation to users: when an video embed is set to be featured, featured image is automatically disabled.

Hi,

The featured image block isn't displayed on the video post format single page, because it is used only on the category page - additionally displaying it will cause that the image/video is duplicated on the single page.

Ok, that means I'll change the code myself. I want that all my video posts to have the featured video on top because on my template it looks bad on archives with video posts formats that have nothing to represent them. Thanks for the info.

Wait, but do you mean that the featured image/video isn't displayed on the category/archive page? I mean that it shouldn't be displayed on the single page.

Goood, you're right. I was confused because Gavern displays full lenght posts on homepage and it's right what you have said. I thought switching thumbnail display on-off for single page affects featured video too and stupid me didn't checked that too.

They are some confusing news about post formatsfeature of wordpress. http://wpmu.org/wordpress-kills-post-formats-ui-for-3-6-release/ I guess this will affect 1.7 update too...

That's why we are waiting for the RC release with our works :)

After analyze of the RC changes it seems that there is no direct changes in the code necessary for WP 3.6.
