Hello,

I am using NSP GK to present K2 articles on the home page of my website. Every article is started with an image weighted 70 ko. When the thumbnail is displayed, the size is correct regarding the parameters but the weight is still 70 ko. For example, I have thumbnail generated with a size of 200 x 150 pixels and weighting 70 ko. My homepage is almost weighted 4 Mo because the weight of images. The website is www.guillenphoto.com/cms/en/

Is there any solution to reduce the weight of the displayed thumbnails?

Thanks for your help

Hello,

You can specify the image compression under the Thumbnails tab.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Which parameter do I have to use. I just find thumbnail quality and whatever the value I use, I always have the same weight for my displayed pictures. I attached a copy of the parameters.

Thanks for your help.

Do you remember that there is a cache so the results will be visible with delay if you won't set the cache time temporary to 0?

Zamarza commented 9 years ago

Thank you for your reply. I changed the cache time and set the thumbnail quality to 5%. I did not notice any change.

I made the test on the following page: www.guillenphoto.com/cms/en/ Please would you check the first block named "Our artistic vision"? The three images are coming from three K2 articles. There is no compression and the weights of the three images are the same of the images in the articles. No change at all. I attached a screen copy of the settings I have applied for that block. capture01

Maybe I miss something.

Your images are even not created - the module loads original images - please enable option "Use cURL download for external images" - maybe it will help.

Zamarza commented 9 years ago

I enabled the option "Use cURL..." and nothing has changed.

Where do you see that the images are not created? Which folder?

I checked the configuration and everything is fine. Do you have another idea to help me? Thanks

I see that it is not generated because your images doesn't come from the module cache directory. Most probably your issue is caused by fact that the images are not loaded from the standard images directory.

So It is a big bug for me. Do you think it can be fixed by the developpers?

dziudek commented 9 years ago
