Articles are presented 'random' in stead of by user input if more articles than positions #304

Hi,

A question related to the option to show articles ordered by user input.

We experience a situation where the articles are presented in 'random' order in stead of 'by user input' in case there are more articles entered in the list than can be displayed.

For example, in case the configuration is set to display 15 articles and 17 articles listed, the module will show the articles at random.

Of course the work-arround would be to remove the (last) articles from the list. However, we would like to 'remember' the temporary not used articles for another time.

Would you know a solution? Thanks for all the good work! Ed

Hello,

I don't understand the issue - did you limit amount of articles to 15? Did you set 15 articles IDs in the user input option?

Hi Tomasz,

Of course that is the work around.

It would be more convenient to leave the ‘16th , 17th ,etc.’ in the list until one of the other items will be removed again, without having to remember these original items in some other way.

I don't understand the issue - why you didn't limit amount of listed articles in the module to 15?
