Play next song #28

Currently play stops after the initial song and will not automatically move to the next song in the album/playlist/mix.

In which mode are you playing the songs ?

I know that in the compact mode, a warning message from Google is hidden if you also play songs from another device.

I was just playing it out of the standard size, default player. I started a "mix" and it would never jump to the next song. It would appear that the first song was continuing to play after the end of the song.

I can not reproduce it :-( (Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OSX 10.9, Mac OSX 10.10, Ubuntu 14.04).

Do you have the latest Flash Player (16.0.0.235) installed for Firefox ?

I will really try to recreate when I get home tonight. I don't use firefox, so I will try to update it.

I just mention this. If you use Chrome as your default browser, you need to install the flash player plugin for firefox or opera … Good luck and keep me posted (I have added a menu to check the flash version that GDeskTunes is using for the next update).

Is this issue still present in the latest version ? To check your flash player plugin, go to menu "Help > Check Flash Player"

mrzoops commented 9 years ago

So, I downloaded your latest release last night, and still see the same issue. The song never moves to the next song in the list. Very strange.

Very strange.

The application itself is basically a wrapper around WebKit. Normally it should not interfere with the Google Music web application.

Can you remove the directories called “js” and “user styles” in the directory where you installed GDeskTunes and check if it works correctly. If you have removed these files, you basically have a “normal" web browser.

Which version of the Flash Player are you using ? (Please use the menu “Help > Check Flash Player”)

Good luck

I had the same problem as @mrzoops. I was able to fix it by disabling the HTML5 player in the Google Music Lab settings.

mrzoops commented 9 years ago

Yes! Worked perfectly.

Gearlux commented 9 years ago

:-) I am glad you figured this out.
