Describe The Bug
Game freezes, crashes, or causes infinite loading screens in the following areas:
Dawnstar
Rorikstead
Dragon Bridge
Tower Stone
Tundra Homestead
Swindlers Den
various other areas in the worldspace, seemingly at random but these are common areas many users report
Also reports of infinite loading screens when entering/exiting areas.
List Version
2.3.0
Additional Context
The issue is related to the way the game downgrades itself during installation. The list uses stock game, and the game root folder has version 1.6.640 while the steam version is 1.6.1130. This version conflict is likely the root of the issue, however it must be something else. I (list author) do not experience this, so it is likely related to how the game files are patched during compilation.
The solution will be to update stock game to 1.6.1130, which is what will happen for the next version, either 2.3.0.1 or 2.3.1. For now, there are manual solutions pinned in the discord.
