I've added four new sections above the equator in Africa, completing the city map there. I've also started using Atom, which is great, and GitHub Desktop, which is okay (bit of a learning curve). Atom has a package which strips away any excess trailing white-space automatically, so you will see that all that has been deleted from the files which I was working on. Other minor changes to GEM include adding Cyprus (which for some reason was missing) and adding civ-specific city map files for Egypt, Greece, Nubia, Rome, and Spain. I also took the opportunity to tidy up the CityMap.xml file for PEA while I made a few small changes there so that it meshes nicely with its GEM equivalent.
