After installing ShowIP plug-in browser begins asking for Geo location requests
every 60 seconds to a third party and no way to limit or disable it.
User must physically block the applications access to the cloud domain it
reports too or remove the plug-in.
In ShowIP GUI [Services] tab, removing check from checked boxes [ISP] and
[Country] under "Request remote information" should completely disable this
feature if that is indeed what your intentions are with these options.
1) Give the user clarification in GUI on Geo locating sites they visit and
absolute control of it's function.
2) Clarify in documentation your intentions and use of third party tracking
cookies from the users domain requests.
3) Correct address allocation of Internet routable block space to the process.
Not at all relevant to attempt to Geo locate private IP addresses or anything
else entered into the address bar.
4) Consider implementing SSL or the option to do so for securing the channel
and minimizing collateral damage. Especially when the browser is already
working in an SSL session.
I recommend users use version 1.0.
