Does Not Show IP Addresses

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install ShowIP 1.6
2. Go to any external Web site (i.e., not to a mirror on your own hard drive).  

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see an IP address at the right end of my status bar.  All I see is 
the word "pending".  

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows XP Home Edition SP3
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:13.0) Gecko/20120604 SeaMonkey/2.10
ShowIP 1.6 

Please provide any additional information below.
Note that SeaMonkey (even the latest version 2.10) still has a status bar for 
displays at the bottom of the browser window.

This problem still exists with ShowIP 1.8 under SeaMonkey 2.10.1.  

The status bar has been (or will soon be) removed from Firefox, but it will 
remain a feature of SeaMonkey.  Are you sure that ShowIP 1.8 is compatible with 
both browsers, one with and one without a status bar?  After all, the status 
bar is where the IP address appears in SeaMonkey 2.10.1 with ShowIP 1.0?
