What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to http://www.jaquilynshumate.com/wp/
2. Click the Weddings column to start the slideshow
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the transition between the images to be smooth:
previousSlide.fadeTo(length, 0.0, ...), nextSlide.fadeTo(length, 1.0, ...).

Instead the previousSlide gets CSS opacity set to 0, and disappears, so the
fadeTo 0 is a period of whiteness.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.0.1 - Linux hosting

Please provide any additional information below.
I've done a bunch of troubleshooting to arrive at the conclusion that the
previousSlide's opacity is set to 0 before it gets the chance to fade

Boom!

The problem was a CSS one!

I needed:

div.slideshow span.image-wrapper {
    display: block;
    position: absolute;
    top: 0;
    left: 0;
}
