I was reading another issue, and saw your advice to reselect the audio device. After changing one to another and back, it seems to work, but this happends everytime I restart my pc, which is almost everyday.
Hey @mattague, sadly this occurs as Windows likes to re-assign identifiers to audio devices 🙈 I appreciate how frustrating this is, and typically it should only happen after a major Windows update.
Are you continuing to experience this after every restart?
I haven't been using this for very long, but I set it up recently, and all seemed fine. After a day or so though, all the buttons I had set up would make the file, but it would always be a 0 second audio clip. After a little investigation, I noticed that if I recreate the buttons completely, it works for a short time. I also noticed a differece in behavior, when it is working, it creates a
.wav.tmp
file, and then a.wav
with the same name. But when it is not working, it only creates the.wav
. In addtion to all of this, when using the option to encode in.mp3
, the files are not readable by the built in media player in windows, or VLC.
