Yes, you should be able to merge with the openwrt repo. This is a fork. I hope this is the information you need. If you have any further questions please re-open the issue.

@GeertJohan Sorry, I want to know whether the openwrt official repo merge go toolchain. And if not, why not?

GeertJohan commented 10 years ago

Well. The source is already in the openwrt repo. It is included in gcc 4.7 and higher. I just changed the makefiles so it will build gccgo. The makefile changes are not included in OpenWRT (yet), but a patch is pending.

What is going on with the patch?

GeertJohan commented 10 years ago

I had a small conversation on the openwrt-devel mailinglist today asking for the patch to be merged in again, as I had several requests per email asking why the patch wasn't in there yet.. The maintainers are looking into it (again?) https://lists.openwrt.org/pipermail/openwrt-devel/2014-July/027083.html

I updated this repo and merged with upstream changes from the openwrt project to make it easier to pull the latest. Also to check if the patch will still merge fine (and it does).

@GeertJohan Thanks for your job. I am willing to see golang on openwrt ASAP.

This is a great job! Please merge into upstream ASAP.

@hawkhsieh Thanks! Please send an email on the openwrt development mailinglist to encourage the maintainers to merge this is. It's already in their patchwork: http://patchwork.openwrt.org/patch/4711/
