As a user I want to be able get a specific characteristic of a "zaak", so that TBD

Acceptance Criterion:

[ ] Mimic the functionality of the FE gateway [code].
- Proper logging of errors to seperate file.
- Ensure API returns proper HTTP status codes with useful error code (we can use this to display error messages to the user).
[ ] Create unit tests ~80% code coverage.

As a developer I want to be able get a specific characteristic of a "zaak", so that I can provide it to the user.

State why a user wants this functionality, not why a developer is making it.

What are the specific characteristics? Can they not just be accessed as properties from a "zaak" object when it is returned from the API? How should they be accessed? @petervanmanen or @mjcarsjens can either of you elaborate on this?
