Fixed so individual pages now have download + add to cart links. Still need to think about the first part. The DVD isn't on sale in teachgenocide.com AFAICT
Again, I need a cost for the DVD, a description, and an image, if we're to add it to our store.
The DVD and lesson plan should be sold together for $25. Attached is the lesson plan, which we should make downloadable, too.
Description: The curriculum guide ”A Journey from Despair to Hope" addresses the the Armenian Genocide through the survival story of the DerManuelian family. Each section of this resource guide includes an assignment composed of short answer questions and/or a writing-based assignment. Students will learn the history, examine the causes, and assess the consequences of the Armenian Genocide and its denial on the individual and the culture. The curriculum includes an evaluation of primary and secondary source documents and analyzes issues facing immigrant groups in the United States. The accompanying 12-minute video documentary tells the story of Armenian Genocide survivor Margaret Garabedian Der Manuelian, told through the narrative voice of her great-granddaughter, 21 year old Dalita Getzoyan. The film traces Der Manuelian's testimony of survival and immigration to Rhode Island. It also provides an introduction to the history of the Armenian Genocide, and illuminates the impact of genocide denial on future generations.
*When I went to our current website to read the press release we put out on this lesson, I found that the links to our press releases are now broken. That must have happened recently. I'm worried, because I may not have our original press release documents...
Done. That is troubling new about the old press releases being lost :[ Maybe we can recover them from the server.
I just checked again, and it seems the press releases have returned to the site! I'll ask Seda to start copying them over to the new site, as long as you don't think that will cause any problems...?
For “Any Armenian Journey” there should also be an option to order the DVD and lesson and there should also be a link to the video on YouTube. The individual page for this guide doesn’t have order and download options
