this app takes over a button of your chosing: hold it to toggle it on/off, tap it to switch between mouse mode and scrolling mode. It doesn't remove the button's default action, i used Key Mapper to map the button to nothing.
Tested on a chromecast, it lets you click on UI elements that cannot be selected with the remote when using apps not designed for tv.
