Detailed Description

1. Create ticket for handling submission request

2. Assign ticket to a helpdesk member

3. Assessment of submission request

• Check that the data types are in scope
• Make legal compliance check, i.e. make sure you have necessary ELSI documents (e.g. informed consent, ethical permits) and ELSI metadata (e.g. data controller).

4. Complete metadata

5. Upload data

6. Review submission

• Data integrity check
• Metadata check

7. Release datasets

8. Close ticket

motivation

It is probably good to have an overarching SOP for the data reception procedure, and link to separate procedures for different steps.

We prefer to call it data reception instead of data submission to make it clear that the SOP is written from the perspective of the helpdesk rather than the submitter.

Steps in this SOP may be covered in other SOPs.
