How about two fields: one for measurement and one for method. Similar to those in soil package
@only1chunts, yes this term refers to the photosynthetic activity of the host plant being sampled for sequencing. We 100% support the idea switching to 2 fields (one for measurement and one for method) as suggested by @pyilmaz
As agreed above, I have created another term for the method and assigned a unique MIXS ID, the two terms listed below are now included in the Ag package, and added to the Changes log.
Term name - photosynthetic activity
Term ID - MIXS:0001296
Structured comment name - photosynt_activ
Definition - Measurement of photosythetic activity (i.e. leaf gas exchange / chlorophyll fluorescence emissions / reflectance / transpiration) Please also include the term method term detailing the method of activity measurement.
Expected value - measurement value
Value syntax - {float} {unit}
Example - μmol CO2 m-2 s-1
Package(s) - Agriculture
Term name - photosynthetic activity method
Term ID - MIXS:0001336
Structured comment name - photosynt_activ_meth
Definition - Reference or method used in measurement of photosythetic activity
Expected value - PMID,DOI or url
Value syntax - {PMID}|{DOI}|{URL}
Example -
New term details
Additional context Suggested as part of the Ag package
Points for discussion
Better definition required. is this measurement of the host plant being sampled for sequencing? is it meant to contain the method of measurement as well as the value?
