term request: Soil CH4 flux

Hello the Bioscales project is in need of the term: Soil CH4 flux

We will measure this for soils under each plant genotype. It is expressed as a rate of efflux of CH4 per surface area of soil (e.g. umol CH4, per m^2, per hr)

For Soil CH4 flux I would suggest:

Package item name: Soil Methane Flux
Structured comment name: soil_ch4_flux
Definition: Methane (CH4) flux is the net rate of methane exchange between an ecosystem and the atmosphere.  It is expressed as a rate of efflux of CH4 per surface area of soil (e.g. umol CH4, per m^2, per hr)
Expected value: measurement value
Value syntax: {float} {unit}
Example: 100 umol/m2/hr
Preferred unit: micromoles per square meter per hour (NB- this is not a recognized Unit Ontology term)

There is the question as to whether we also require a joint new term "Soil Methane Flux Method" to allow the method of measurement to be added?
