Stuck at Gnirehtet: Checking gnirehtet client... #268

I understand this has been posted by others and solutions worked for them did not work for me.

I am stuck at below command after gnirehtet start. Running on Windows, Android version 8.0 on Samsung Galaxy-S7. adb devices command working fine. Phone is connected fine.

Old version of gnirehtet is working fine as well. New version 2.4 has this issue.

I have the same problem since I switched to Windows 10. On Mint it worked.

Yes, I even use it with scrcpy and other tools.

I can reproduce this error - windows 10.0.18362 Multiple test devices - Galaxy S8+, S9, Pixel 3, all running latest available android versions The program hangs at "checking device client" indefinitely. This issue didn't occur two weeks ago before a windows update.

When switching to use Ubuntu 10.04.1LTS the connection to the client phone works perfectly every time.
