Internet only working in some apps with baseband version unknown! #473

OS: MacOS Device: Xiaomi MI 6 Phone Baseband Version: Unknown Phone Limitation: Can't use mobile data, wifi, bluetooth, and check IMEI

Hi i just tried gnirehtet yesterday because my mobile device baseband version is unknown causing my phone can't read sim, with wifi and bluetooth can't be turn on. When i setup gnirehtet for the first time there's no problem and i can get access to internet, i tried it at the office, but when i goes home and connecting my laptop to my wifi, my phone only got internet access to Whatsapp and Instagram only, the other apps some how can't connect to internet like youtube, playstore, google, etc.

Potential Problem

I guessing the problem because when the first time i setup gnirehtet using my office wifi and it cannot work because i using wifi at my home.

Q/A

Q : is all app on your phone have internet access when you first time tried gnirehtet? A : Yes, when i was in the office, but when i come home, there's only some apps can connect to the internet

Q : Have you tried to reinstall gnirehtet both in phone and your laptop? A : Yes, i have tried reinstall gnirehtet but there i still only can access some apps on my phone

Q : Which apps is have internet access and which don't? A : Whatsapp and Instagram has internet access, but the rest don't like chrome, youtube, playstore, telegram, steam, etc.

Looks like #37, but I can't explain why it worked at work but not at home if wifi was disabled in both cases.

it seems the discussion recommend to turn on mobile data or wifi on the phone, but sadly i can't turn it on because my baseband version phone is unknown

@rom1v Hi, it's monday and i came with and update. i'm at the office right now and my assumption is correct, all apps can connect to internet now. But only instagram and whatsapp can connect to internet when i was home.
