Dear Jacob,

From side of metadata, your metadata record is filled in corectly. It is possible that some reference system are not supported on EGDI Portal, but I do not know which one and what to do if this problem apears.

I thing problem is on Admin modul side.

I do not know why it is not possible to upload your data, Martin is the right person to help you, but I think he is on holiday this and next week..

I add to the copy of this email our GeoERA support team and Jonas from GEUS, I hope somebody could help you.

Regards.

Pavla

Předmět: Tactic WP3: Upload of data to Egdi

Dear Pavla and Martin

In the process of uploading tiffs to Egdi we, partners in tactic are experiencing issues when uploading regarding projection exceptions:

One issue from Ozren, Croatia, was:

I have created rasters in ArcGIS, and all use ETRS-LAEA (3035) coordinate system (supported by EGDI). I have also selected this coordinate reference system in metadata entry (21). Nonetheless, during the raster upload I got error message: Upload failed

Exception: The following projections (epsgs) are not supported: 6258.

Another issue of the same kind was from Laticia, Spain:

Upload failed

Exception: The following projections (epsgs) are not supported: null

I use the same projection that the metadata that I cloned (ETRS89(4258)). Do you know where the problem may lie?

Find attached the tiff that I tried to upload and the corresponding metadata url in case that you want to try with it.

https://egdi.geology.cz/record/basic/613f143f-7c8c-4c95-b242-15c90a010855

What is your recommendations for uploading to the metadatabase and the upload of tiff raster data to Egdi? Even though we try to use the recommended/available formats, some errors occur.

Venlig Hilsen/Best Regards

Jacob

Emne: RE: Tactic WP3: Guideline

Actually, I have one.

Any idea what went wrong?

Kind regards,

Ozren

Underlying issue, is the importer doesn't read the dataset metadata from MICKA, it needs the EPSG CRS identifier in the TIFF file, but ArcGIS doesn't seem to give it; EGDI documentation based on ArcGIS Pro suggests it is possible to get the metadata in a suitable format for the EDGI importer, but people have tried and failed to do so.

Not sure if the importer can/will be fixed to get over this issue, but in the meantime the only known solution is to use QGIS or GDAL utilities.
