My computer is not able to open the file marburg_dop.tif at the moment, neither with the Fotos programme nor is the file found in the project foulder of QGIS. It is said either "Fotos" is not able to open the file or the file is defect. Does somebody know how to solve this problem?

@mforoushani Thank you for this demand. My problem is not solved, yet. I had yust been busy with another modul. So I did not answer again. But if you have a solution, you can tell be. I guess it will be helpfull.

@Muenchj4 Actually did you ever try to reload it - it seems possible that the differnt software is telling you the truth - that the file is corrupt...

@Munchj4 Let's first try to reload the file one more time as Chris said. Then try with the others GeoTiff / tif files be sure your program is working properly. Finally open your file in QGIS. Keep in touch.

@mforoushani I have tried to reload the file again and so all the other files in the server, but they aren´t shown on my screen. It is always telling me the format isn´t able to open it or the file is defect.

@mforoushani I have got the file, but I am not able to open it again. It seems to be same Error. Maybe there is a virus in the file because my PC told be it wasn´t able to check it for viruses as the file were to large.

@Muenchj4 I am able to open this file by all means (R, QGIS GRASS, GIMP etc.) I am pretty sure that your installation of QGIS etc. maybe even Windows is some broken. Hard to advice what you could do best. IMHO it is your OS due t the fact that you are facing again and again this kind of problems. Actually I have no idea where to start. First of all make sure (I mean SURE) that you have a simple path to your file and most important WITHOUT blanks and special characters etc.. Next re-install a current QGIS via OSGEO4w .

I have tried to put the file into another folder I am sure that exist, but QGIS wasn´t able to open it eiter. Thereafter I deinstalled and reinstalled QGIS by OSGEO4w. But the same problem occurred. Will there be a possibility to meet one of you in Deutschhaus tomorrow? Maybe someone can find the trouble?
