for example: if flexure is determined externally / separately it may be applied via an additional deformation grid, reducing computation time. This could also be used with other, non-tectonic deformations that have a varying rate. Current application of linear , stepwise deformation could be improved / fitted to function so the use of multiple tectonic stages could be reduced.

Additionally / similar, deformation is currently applied linearly. optionally total tectonic subsidence to apply as rate to reduce multiple tectonic intervals.
