2016 Kaikoura high rate data access #64

Closed staylorofford closed 4 years ago

Hi Jiaojiao and Manuel,

I’m glad you were able to access the high-rate data. We do not currently include doppler observations in our data, so it is unlikely that such observations will be available in the 2016 data. To be sure, the raw data would contain any observations not in the RINEX file.

Thanks,

Sam

Dear Sam,

My name is Jiaojiao Zhao, a phD student in GNSS precise positioning field. Now I am studying in the research group of Manuel. He sent you an e-mail asking the access of 10Hz data during the day of Kaikoura earthquake several days ago. Many thanks for your kind reply and told us the ftp server address of high-rate data.

Now I'm working on cycle slip detection and fix method with high-rate doppler measurements. Considering there is no doppler measurements in the download file from your ftp server, I would like to kindly ask you that if you have other high-rate observation files that contain the doppler measurements. Of course in any result in which these data would be used would contain the acknowledgment following your suggested format.

Thank you in any case.

Kind regards,

Jiaojiao and Manuel

Hi Manuel,

All of our high rate GNSS data is available on our FTP server at ftp://ftp.geonet.org.nz/gnss/event.highrate/

If you look in the 10hz/2016/317 folder you should find what you are looking for. Data are available in both raw and RINEX2 data formats.

Good luck in your research, I thoroughly enjoy the world of tsunami ionospheric signatures.

Let me know if you need any further help,

Thanks,

Sam Taylor-Offord

Dear Sir / Madam,

My name is Manuel Hernández-Pajares, working on new GNSS applications on Science and improvement of GNSS applications.

Following the procedure suggested in

https://www.geonet.org.nz/data/supplementary/gnss_high_rate_data_access

I would like to kindly ask you the access to the available 10 Hz GNSS measurements of the New Zealand permanent receivers during the day 2016/11/13 comprising the earthquake (M 7.8 Kaikoura) and tsunami for supporting our research in cycle-slip detection and tsunami ionospheric signatures. Of course in any result in which these data would be used would contain the acknowledgment following your suggested format.

Thank you in any case.

Kind regards,

Manuel H.P.
