fix bug #170 error during the launch of data manager #171

the error was caused by variable current_text == '';
I have added an if to filter out this case;

Hi @geogeek11, thanks for the PR, we had faced the error at some point in the past, there is an outstanding PR which also has the fix for the issue see https://github.com/kartoza/qgis_geonode/pull/168.

We will merge the PR https://github.com/kartoza/qgis_geonode/pull/168 to fix the issue on the main branch once it has been fully reviewed.

Once again, thanks for your interest @geogeek11!

We have fixed #170 by means of another PR. We are gearing up for the first official release of the plugin on the QGIS official plugin repo. Once we meet that milestone it will be easier for external collaborators to help improve the plugin, as the code will be more stable.
