join with xls table #1521

how i can make a join (also a relate) between a layer and a document (.xls table) related at the same map?

Hi you can link a document to a map, a layer or an external resource. You can do this in the edit document metadata section. If you need more help you can also write on our lists so that also other users can answer http://geonode.org/communication/#mailing-lists. ciao

If you are talking about joining a vector layer to an external text source such as an xls table, GeoNode currently does not support this. What you can do is to use a GIS desktop tool such as QGIS, add the shapefile and create a join to the external table. Then export the shapefile to a new one and upload to GeoNode.
