Java Won't run Center Picker #18

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Reach step 3 of the Map editor
2. Try to run the 'Center Picker'
3. Locate the Triple A Main Folder
4. Black Box flashes on the screen, then disappears. Center Picker Won't run.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of the Center Picker Running, a black box flashes then disappears.
Happens every time the Center Picker button is clicked.

The box appears to say "Java.exe is not recognized as an internal or external
command, operable program or batch file." I managed to hit the print screen
key right before the box vanished, and have attached that screenshot.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TripleA Map Creator v1.0.1.5
Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

A similar box appears when I try to run the Polygon Grabber, Placement Picker,
and Auto-Placement Finder.

Thanks! I have read about at least a few other people with this same problem,
but never a solution.

I'm having the same problem. Have you found a solution? By the way, you can
hold ctrl when you click on the various buttons and the black error window
won't auto-close.

Found a fix: I simply copied java.exe from my java folder (C:\Program Files
(x86)\Java\jre7\bin) onto C:\

Do you have Java installed? If yes, the variable should be properly set.
Restart the computer after this.
