Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (E) doesn't work #136

Hello! I'm trying to play KH Chain of Memories (E) (32 MB) using a SDCard with Twilight Menu++ on my DSI XL, but it doesn't work. It crashes on the first video, always in the same moment (when the castle appears). I saw the compatibility list and it says that it should work fine. What could I do to make it work?

I'll have a look at it tomorrow. The game is reported as working fine on 3ds but since it's such a large rom it seems very possible it could have problems on DSi.

I managed to play until the first battle against a heartless with no problems. I used the standard settings of vram boost off, DS mode, DSi clock speed (all three through twlmenu++ settings), wram icache on, ds main memory cache on (all latter three through gbarunner2 settings).

Hi! Thanks for your answer. I have the same settings but it keeps crashing. I'm using b740476 commit (2019/12/24) because I don't really know how to update it. I tried several times with no results replacing the arm7dldi.nds, and I got two different errors: gbarunner2 didn't start / it started but when I clicked on the game, a black screen with a gear would appear indefinetely. This is my actual SDcard that works: gbarunner gba2

If you're on a previous TWiLight Menu++ version, follow this guide to update. It includes the latest GBARunner2.

Hi Rocket, thanks for your answer. I followed the steps, however now when I load any game with Gbarunner2, the black screen with a gear appears and the game never starts.

Is Unlaunch installed?

Are you booting TWiLight Menu++ through Unlaunch?

Hmmm no. That was the mistake. A black screen appeared with several options like TWMenu and Unlaunch and I always used the first one. Now it works, through Unlaunch. Thank you and Zenseii!!
