hi,

ive got a nindendo DSi without any lower slot 2 for gba games and with the ability to download dsiware that dosnt exist anymore. I fouund just one R4 flash card clone that is being accepted by that DSi, all others like dssone are being rejected. Problem is that the only inofficial software that i got to get running do run in its own nds file without relying on accessing the fatfs of the sd card. For example i found an experimental dosbox with dos integrated in it, and a dosbox that tired to mount one folder of the sdcard that frezes the execution the secound it dose.

Question one: could you build an "compiling tool" that combines your emulator together with one game rom into a nds file that uses non different interfaces then an official nintendo ds to save/load savegames for such type of flashcard?

question two: could you build some fatlib that works with my r4 if i would provide you with its firmware image?

thanks a lot in advance

For question one I think installing TWiLight Menu++ to your flashcard may do what you want. Since you're on a DSi you could also softmod the DSi which will allow GBARunner2 to run better, especially if you install Unlaunch.

For question two it's basically the same, loading GBARunner2 from TWiLight Menu++, nds-hb-menu, or GodMode9i instead of directly from your flashcard kernel should fix it. Some flashcard kernels just aren't that great at running homebrew directly.
