Issue The game plays fine until you get to play a mini game inside of a board, which freezes the console in a black screen after beating it.

Did you try manual jit patches?

UPDATE: The issue is still happening on bb9c06b with manual JIT patches, wram icache off, ARM7 memory priority and DS mode:

Additional info: To reproduce the issue, select Peach in single player mode, and get to the Casino mini game part. The game will freeze in a black screen after winning/loosing the game.

This save file will only work once (is a "suspend/resume" temporary savegame) so you need to copy it each time in order to reproduce the issue. Select Party World -> Shroom City and after the board shows up, press B, then enter to the casino minigame
