Now that Pages are supported it seems natural to want to add to a page card(s) that automatically display one or more featured post from a blog. This would allow the user to have a specially designed landing page as the home page and add to it one or more featured posts automagically.
Perhaps the cards could be formatted using a handlebars file in the partials specially designed for a featured post (or posts). This would be the responsibility of the theme developer to support. Publii would simple pass the content to be formatted to the specified handlebars file that would be added into the page at render.
Support for the toolbar/block would be enabled or disabled at the theme level and the editor would show or hide the feature depending on whether it is supported.
It would be nice to be able to specify the number of featured posts from 1 to ? as well as the sort order.

Big ask. Thanks for your consideration.
