5 years ago Agreed. This is a good idea. I'll work on a time-based ( once a month ) popup for this to notify users to move to desktop.
There are still tons of people using the chrome extension. It might be a good idea to officially mark the extension as deprecated right from within the app and tell users to uninstall and migrate to Scatter Desktop (maybe show a download link or quick migration guide right from the extension).
That way all new bugfixes and guides can be focused on a single user base.
