Cannot log in on Linux app #659

Prerequisites

Description

After installing the Winds app on Linux (POP!_OS) using sudo snap install winds, I am unable to log in with my newly created user credentials.

I contacted support@getstream.io and they told me to create issue in Github.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Winds app on Linux = sudo snap install winds
  2. Open Winds app then select 3 categories
  3. Create new account when prompted
  4. Log out of Winds App
  5. Attempt to log in to Winds app and receive "It looks like you have entered an incorrect email or password. Please try again."

Expected behavior: [What you expect to happen]

  1. My email and password used to create the account should be recognized when logging into the Winds app on Linux.
  2. Password reset email should be sent to my email address

Actual behavior: [What actually happens]

  1. When attempting to login with my user email address and password, I get the following message. "It looks like you have entered an incorrect email or password. Please try again."

  2. I attempted to reset my password from within the Winds app but did not receive the reset email instructions

  3. I also attempted to recreate my account thinking I may have entered the email address incorrectly. However, my email is recognized as already in use.

Software and Hardware information: Pop!_OS 20.10 on System76 Lemur Pro

Any additional information, configuration or data that might be necessary to reproduce the issue.

This log in issue exists with the web version https://winds.getstream.io/login "A resource already exists with the user name or email

Closed. I was able to create an account with a different user name but same email address. Maybe the account I thought I created, was not created?
