Add spam prevention? #246

Hi folks, I don't know if anyone has already requested it, but since I have been organizing my groups on Meetup so far, I noticed that there is no way to force new members to submit a request before signing up. So you can prevent spam registrations and you can see why someone wants to join a group. Does this feature already exist and I just haven't discovered it yet or would it be possible to add it?

Not sure if this would prevent spam, but having a little user-defined questionnaire would be kind of handy. We have this for our groups for Meetup as a way to get a sense of who (or what) is joining the group and where their interests lie.

I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand the answer. Are we talking about Meetup or gettogether? So I don't find a mandatory question like Meetup in gettogether. That's why I thought you could program such a query.

I mean that the functionality is in Meetup and would be nice to have in Gettogether.

That's right. And how do you turn that into gettogether? I am a programmer and would like to participate in the project. It's not enough if I change it locally on my machine, it should also be unlocked sometime on the gettogether.community website. In Germany I'm trying to start an open source developer group with gettogether:https://gettogether.community/open-source-developer/
