What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.Attempted download from BBC Iplayer 2. 3. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Download failed bad proxy What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 1.6.2 on OSX 10.9.1 Please provide any additional information below. Despite using a UK VPN (privateinternetaccess) it tells me to use a proxy if outside UK!
The error message is incomplete, unfortunately. The same error can arise when your VPN is a blocked or broken timed out. That appears to be the problem in your case.
