Feature request: table cell merging #435

Hello.

An implementation for tables is really great, but it lacks one important feature: ability to merge and un-merge cells.

+1 here, but I'm quite pessimistic about it's implementation. The module seems pretty unmaintained since 2019

@PubliAlex Thanks for flagging your interest in this feature :+1:

CT and associated libraries are being rewritten for ES6 (from coffeescript) as our priority - I'm afraid I don't have a timeline for this.

CT is used heavily in our web framework and as such will be maintained for the foreseeable future as it's core to our business and our clients - but we're only focused on fixing serious bug in version 1+ at this time as our efforts are on v2.

We are open to pull requests for a new feature such as this if someone is in a position to develop this additional functionality.
