Swim Issues #1705

Open KindofkidGitHub opened 3 years ago

KindofkidGitHub commented 3 years ago

So basically i played on the Geyser Test Server and noticed when i was sprint swimming even at the top i still was drowning

  1. Go into Water
  2. Go a bit down and then sprint
  3. Go to the top you can and the Bubbles still go down

I expected this not to happen because normally i dont drown when im at the top with sprint swimming

1.16.3

I dont know what Version it is but it still works and i used the public Geyser Proxy

I am in Version 1.16.201

I dont know if there were any Plugins Causing it but i dont think thats the problem.

Hope you understand Cooper.

Unable to reproduce - likely fixed. To clarify however, swimming at the top water block still causes you to lose air, even on Java.

Looks like @jackson-57 was able to replicate this. Reopening.

Could you try updating to the latest version of Geyser, and see if the issue persists? If it does, send a new Geyser dump by running "geyser dump" in your server console.

This issue still occurs on the latest Geyser version (178fb2 via the official test server). However, you can also 'sprint wade' through the water while standing up (and may have been able to for years), and the speed/ease of the technique is similar to what's possible on Java. I've included videos of all three behaviors (Java, Bedrock, and 'sprint wading' on Bedrock), but I personally question whether the original issue is worth fixing, because of the existence of the alternative technique on Bedrock.

I got this bug in my server in 2022, when a player abused this bug to get advantage against java player, closed the server. Now im with another server, nobody knows about this bug, but it is very dangerous if players knows about it, because bedrock players would take advantage. Ive tested right now and its keep going.

Still can reproduce on 1.20.71
